Your Story English started as a move to create a safer and more comfortable learning Environment. Transitioning from freelance English teaching to an English school centred on allowing students to express themselves anyway they want. Building communication skills and becoming more confident and effective communicators.

私は、カナダのアルバータ州カルガリーで生まれ、オンタリオ州ウッドストックの小さな町で育ちました。 人々を助けたいという思いは常に私の人生の中心にあるものです。 カナダのトレント大学で歴史の学位を習得し、卒業した後は、自閉症の方が自立した生活を送るためのケアホームで働きました。 2006年に日本に移り、大手の英会話学校の講師になりましたが、リーマンショック後の2007年に学校は閉鎖され、フリーランスの英語講師として働くことを決めました。現在までの16年間、町田とその周辺地域で多くの方達に英語を教えています。
私の趣味は、カフェ、レストラン、そして魅力的な東京の街を探索することです。 季節によってはハイキングやスキーも楽しんでいます。様々な年齢、人種、背景、言語の人と会話や交流をすることが好きなので、できる限り多くの方たちが自分自身のストーリーを話せることができるようにお手伝いしたいと思っています。
Born in Calgary Alberta Canada I grew up in a small town of Woodstock Ontario. Helping people has always been a central part of my life. After graduating with a history Degree from Trent University Canada I worked in a care home helping autistic individuals live an independent life. In 2006 I moved to Japan to become an English Instructor at a large English school. In 2007 after the Lehman shock The school closed and I became a freelance English Instructor. I have been teaching students in Machida and the surrounding cities for 16 years.
My passions are cafe’s, restaurants and exploring the amazing city of Tokyo. I also enjoy hiking and skiing when I have the time. I enjoy conversations with people of all ages, backgrounds and language abilities and I hope to help as many people as I can tell their personal stories.
